The North Texas Cheetahs, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing training, education and encouragement for youth girls ages 5-18 years in track and field.  The primary purpose of our organization is to develop the  skills and disciplines which are essential to learning and improving in the area of track and field competition, while continuing to maintain a high academic standard.

To reach this objective we:

 

• Motivate athletes to improve their academic achievement.
• Develop good sportsmanship, by promoting friendship and fair play.
• Develop competitiveness, by establishing well-organized programs and competitions.
• Develop strong bodies, minds, self-discipline, self-esteem, and high moral standards.

2011 - 2012 Goals
            

• Initiate a scholarship program to assist graduating seniors that have received partial track scholarships, with the rising cost of college expenses
• Participate in a minimum of 3 Indoor Track Meets in 2012
• Continue community based educational tutorial program to assist with educational challenges
• Implement a SAT/ACT Boot Camp to help prepare student athletes for the SAT/ACT Test
• Provide opportunities for domestic and international travel
• Continue NTC Feed The Homeless Initiative and NTC Toy Drive
