Our Purpose
"Champions in Training for a Successful Tomorrow"

                      The North Texas Cheetahs, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing training, education and encouragement for youth girls ages 5-18 years in track and field.  The primary purpose of our organization is to develop the  skills and disciplines, which are essential to learning and improving in the area of track and field competition.

                       

                            To reach this objective we:

                       

                      • •Motivate athletes to improve their academic achievement.
                      • •Develop good sportsmanship, by promoting friendship and fair play.
                      • •Develop competitiveness, by establishing well-organized programs and competitions.
                      • •Develop strong bodies, minds, self-discipline, self-esteem, and high moral standards.
                      • •Provide opportunities to travel.

                        2008/2009 Initiatives

                           

                        • Initiate a scholarship program to assist graduating seniors that have received partial track scholarships, with the rising cost of college expenses
                        • Complete planning for a High School Indoor meet to be held in the DFW area in 2009-2010
                        • Participate in a minimum of 6 Indoor Track Meets in 2009
